Fundraising

With your help we can raise the final 17%

Castle Community Rooms Fundraising

We have raised over 83% of the projected £1.2million cost of the build and have now secured a fixed price contract and the building work is going ahead. The pandemic resulted in our being unable to carry out typical fund raising activities during 2020 and 2021 but we have decided not to wait until the project is fully funded before giving the go ahead to our contractors as we would have incurred a damaging hike of almost 14% in the overall project cost.

We have several large outstanding grant applications in the pipeline but we still need to raise the final 17% . We have a number of avenues open to us to cover this shortfall and this is where you can help.  Our primary aim is to bridge the £200,000 funding gap. If we exceed this target we would like to continue using your kind sponsorship and donations to enhance the building and add features that were cut from the original plans to achieve budget targets. However, under no circumstances will we do this without your prior approval.

Or would you like to be involved and become a friend?

We are asking you if you would like to be a friend, to give up a treat and instead make a small monthly gift towards our development fund over the next few years. Your support will be recognised on a photographic virtual wall of CCR fiends with your photo or business logo or, of course, you can remain anonymous and be represented by a Castle Community Rooms logo. We will also be recognising, as friends, those who have given us significant support in the project.

This Friends' Development Fund will be used towards the shortfall and could also be used towards repayments if a loan is needed to enable us to avoid spiralling costs. Several lenders have indicated support if necessary. We won't know the exact size of any loan until spring as it depends upon how many of you become friends and support us with monthly donations now.

The Friends' Development Fund will initially be used towards the current shortfall but will continue to be used to make our monthly loan repayments should this become necessary.

To help secure the very best modern centre for our community, we are asking for everyone’s help – as a resident of Framlingham or not! If you love Fram, we would love to hear from you.

How to become a friend?

We are asking you to give just the equivalent of two coffees a month for as long as you can – you can stop at any time

Community Rooms Framlingham

That's £5

Or could you perhaps donate just £10?

Or, feeling really generous, could you donate two coffees per week? (That's eight per month or £20)

However big or small your monthly donation, everyone (individual or business) is a friend and will be recognised on our Wall of Friends here. As an added bonus, through the Government's Gift Aid scheme, if you are a UK taxpayer and you agree to gift aid your donation, St Michael's PCC Castle Community Rooms Development Fund can claim an additional 25p for every £1 you donate.
